El cuarto álbum de The Jeffrey Lee Pierce Sessions Project llegará en septiembre

The Task Has Overwhelmed Us, que llega el 29 de septiembre, volverá a contar con Debbie Harry y Nick Cave, además de contribuciones de Dave Gahan, Warren Ellis y una de las últimas grabaciones de Mark Lanegan, que también había participado en los proyectos anteriores.

La serie Jeffrey Lee Pierce Project, que se compone de nuevas interpretaciones de canciones del difunto cantante y compositor de The Gun Club, Jeffrey Lee Pierce. En 2010, The Jeffrey Lee Pierce Sessions Project lanzó We Are Only Riders, el primero de una serie de cuatro álbumes con “works-in-progress” inéditos de Pierce. The Journey is Long, el segundo álbum del proyecto, fue lanzado en abril de 2012 y Axels & Sockets, lanzado por Glitterhouse Records en 2014. Anteriormente, Nick Cave y Debbie Harry hicieron Free to Walk para We Are Only Riders de 2009, The Breaking Hands para The Journey Is Long de 2012 e Into the Fire para Axels and Sockets de 2014.
