Anoche se presentaron en un concierto especial acompañados de invitados en Holmdel, New Jersey.
Courtney Love fue una de las invitadas estrellas de la noche y apareció junto a Smashing Pumpkins para interpretar canciones clásicas de Hole Celebrity Skin y Malibu. El líder de Sugar Ray, Mark McGrath, también se unió a Corgan y su renacida formación para una versión de Fly y Breaking the Law de Judas Priest.
Además, Peter Hook, ex integrante de New Order y Joy Division, también estuvo presente en el aniversario con dos aportaciones, Age of Consent de New Order y Transmission y Love Will Tear Us Apart de Joy Division. En cuanto al líder de los Deftones, Chino Moreno, acudió al evento colaborando en una versión de Bodies de los propios Pumpkins.
Corgan y Iha dieron el primer concierto bajo el nombre Smashing Pumpkins el 9 de julio de 1988. Ya con D’arcy Wretzky y Jimmy Chamberlin la formación completa dio su primera actuación el 5 de octubre de ese mismo año.
